In addition to Juilliard, Oberlin, Yale and all the other places Conrad Cummings has taught, he maintains an active private teaching studio for composers in New York City. He frequently serves as consultant to opera and musical theater composer/lyricist/librettist teams, addressing dramaturgy, music, and the practicalities of bringing a piece from conception to full professional production. Class members in Conrad's Juilliard evening division composition course have gone on to pursue masters programs in composition at Mannes College of Music, New York University Steinhardt School, USC Film Music Program, and The Juilliard School, among others.
